Dr. Anu Singh has recently joined the partnership at Medstar Health/Georgetown University Hospital as a Radiation Oncologist. Dr. Singh received her undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Virginia. She completed her radiation oncology training at Georgetown University Hospital.
Dr. Singh's area of specialty is breast cancer. She is a member of the Breast Cancer Group at the nationally renowned Lombardi Cancer Center where she is involved with scientific and clinical breast cancer research. Her studies have been presented at national and international meetings.
As part of her commitment to patient care, she participates in research conferences, teaching rounds, and tumor boards. She is a member of the Breast Cancer Consultation Group, which is a multidisciplinary team of radiation oncologists, medical oncologists, and surgeons meeting weekly to offer confirmatory consultations for patients with newly diagnosed breast cancer. Dr. Singh has been recognized by her patients as a skilled and compassionate physician for which she has received the Caring Star award.
Additionally, Dr. Singh is involved in local and national protocols to evaluate new treatment techniques for cancer therapy. Her other clinical interests include brain, spine, genitourinary, and gynecologic malignancies. Technical expertise includes 3-D conformal radiation, IMRT, Cyberknife stereotactic radiosurgery, and prostate and gynecologic brachytherapy.
